Addison’s 2 Month Doctor Appointment

MORE PICTURES

Current mood: accomplished

I am so proud of my baby girl! She has come so far!

She was 5 pounds, 12 ounces, 18 inches when she was born…

She is now 9 pounds, 20 ¾ inches!!! They say that she is growing great even without any premature adjustments. Her tone is good, pulses good, and her responses are great. The doctor was impressed when she saw her lift her head off the table and when she rolled over when she's on her belly. The doctor said that she has absolutely no concerns with her at this point. That is fabulous news! They adjusted her medicines for her reflux and she will be seeing a gastroenterologist in a couple weeks for that. She also had her 2 month shots and did so great, she only cried right after briefly and slept the rest of the day for the most part.

Addison about to get her 2 month shots

Addison just got her shots!

My poor baby!!!

A couple weeks ago the apnea doctors ordered for her monitor to be downloaded. Once they got the results and interpreted them they called to let me know the results. In the month prior she had 9 apnea (stop breathing momentarily) episodes and 16 low heart rate episodes. Not so good, but I think she's getting better; the alarms do no go off nearly as often as they used to. She will stay on the caffeine and the monitor and every 3 weeks they will do downloads to see how she's coming along. It doesn't look like she'll be off anytime soon, but that's okay, when she's ready, she'll be ready.

Her next appointment isn't until January 2nd. They said to start feeding her single grain cereal when she's 3 months, 3 weeks… so sometime around Christmas.
