Addison on Her Due Date
MORE PICTURES
Current mood: in love
Thank you everyone for all the comments, emails, thoughts and prayers over the last several weeks. Things are just starting to calm down around here to the point that I can start focusing on replying to emails that I have not had the time to do for quite a while and getting back in touch with everyone. I am also going to get things going on her birth announcements soon (those that know me well know that the things I do like announcements and invites have to be PERFECT and I don't start the project until I have the mindset that they will turn out exquisite.) I am also including the thank you cards in the announcement envelopes- I really didn't forget and I really do appreciate all the thoughtful gifts for our lil girl.
Addison is doing FANTASTIC lately.
She was born 9/2/07 and was in the special care unit until she came home on 9/13/07. She did okay for a while and we had to readmit her to the hospital on 9/15/07 because she was having too many breathing episodes. She was discharged on 9/17/07 and has been home ever since, virtually problem free. She had a few breathing episodes at first and now has not had any in about 5-6 days. YEA!
Addison came home on an apnea monitor. It is a machine that is connected to her all the time except when she is getting diaper changed/clothing changed or bathing. The machine lets us know when her heart rate is too high or too low and when she stops breathing. It sounds a little scary but we have gotten used to how it works and what to do.
Addy also has reflux (heartburn). She is on caffeine for the apnea and two meds for the reflux. She really hasn't had any spit up issues either. She has had three doctor appointments since we've brought her home, the first appointment on 9/14/07 she had regained all the weight she had lost from when she was born; she was 5 pounds, 12 ounces when she was born. The next appointment on 9/28/07 she was up to 6 pounds, 11 ounces. And she had an appointment 10/03/07 for thrush and was up to 6 pounds, 15 ounces. So I'm sure our baby is over 7 pounds already! It seems so amazing.
